Here’s the dash with the primer and fuel selector. Filed the latch for the rope to go through. Also the mount for the pole limiter.
Buffed it some today. It’s raining so no test spin. Maybe tomorrow.
Hey, I was going to look at that ski. Things came up n I was juggling around some funds and decided it was probably best not to grab another project. Glad someone got this. Read through my post. You’ll be basically be doing the same thing I did.
Thanks, it has come along very nicely. Little too long but things happen in life. Hoping to water test it this weekend. I’ve learned a lot on this forum reading different builds. It’s amazing all the craftsmanship that people have. I just took a little bit from everyone and turned it into this...
Got the tray extension done, mats, hand pole limiting rope, bilge pump connection n hardware for pole mount on. Everything looks pretty decent. Have to poke some holes through the dash mats for my primer n fuel selector knob. Have to get some more super glue to glue down the edges of the mats...
It’s easier to tell what it may be from a pic from the intake grate side. Stockers have a hex head built into them for install n solas impellers don’t. They have a tool that slides into the impeller for installation. I think skat trace are like solas also
Yeah I was just looking that up. They did when I worked in the dealership setting but I’ve been out just over 10 years. Guess when they changed there branding to race craft only they get away with it.
Inside on the side of the ski is a sticker that has your primary ID number. Yamaha uses this number for its warranty claims. Call the dealer with this number to make sure n they should be able to tell you when the warranty ends.
I would check the plugs n compression next. If they are the original plugs change them. Then if the compression is good n plugs are good I would say it’s the temp sensor. Jet maniac sells the temp sensor delete plug for the ebox. I put one in mine. I did it along with a tidy bilge kit. I ordered...
Yes you can, you must open the e box disconnect it and connect to wires back up to bypass it. Don’t you have warranty? It’s a 2018. Take it to the dealer.
Wsm makes a good replacement cable. That’s what I installed in mine. Check out my build that I’m almost finished with. Some of the pics might help you out with where things belong. I have a sealed battery also. I took out the vent line.
I’ve never seen any kind off weights in the skis. The purple thing looks like it was just left in there and it got wedged n that’s it. The waterbox stays relatively cool to were it should melt the cable. Probably overheated at some time to melt it like that. Also it could have just worn down...
Paint is all dried. Started to put some stuff together again. Going to order my jettrim chin pad tomorrow and try to install the tray extension and glue down the mats. Had to loosen the gas tank to get the filler hose, nose cover bracket, hood brackets n pole bracket but on. Actually pole...
The rubber piece on your mid shaft is for the coupler cover. It slides on there n bolts to the case in 2 spots. Bolts should be tight, no wiggles. Just clear silicone around the bolt hole location. Helps with water going through the threads
