I just sold my blaster to buy an fx1, I guess I'm a noob then. I sometimes enjoy riding my fx1 then my worked Sj, gasp!
You only get better at what you put your time into. Some skis have different learning curves but following fads/trends isn't going to automatically make you a better rider.
X2 what motorman said. Just get the rev limiter removed out of your stock cdi. I don't think enhancers are worth the money. They seem to be unreliable and really don't offer any performance gain that I have noticed.
It will just spin and the ski won't really take off. you can leave it on the trailer in the water and under light throttle the water will be real bubbly behind the pump.
I actually had the same issue, mine turned out to be a small hole and a long crack right below the one weld on the B Pipe chamber. I thought it was my carbs until today. Hope yours is a cheaper fix!
Do you have the stock siphon in it. It's a small plastic box looking thing under your midshaft.
Another option is to dunk the ski in the water and start it up while it's on the trailer. Check for a leak in hull or hose.
