Also make sure when you turn the bars to the right, and the turn plate hits the stop that your cable still had a little more it could come out. It could hit the stop right when the cable has hyper extended

Agree with the other guys, sounds like it's not hitting the steering stop. The clamp that goes on the bars that holds the steering ball should be about a 1" from the bar clamp. Disconnect the cable from the turn nozzle and adjust as needed on the turn plate end until the turn plate hits on...

You just need to find people who have both and ride them, then pick the one you like the most. They will both be enough power for you. The xs900r cost more money but there is a reason for that
