Filling the gap was mostly for looks but also for floatation, i tend to sink skis

Few pics from making the pad that goes between the tubes and the hood tonight, pics dont do it and justice but it fills the gap nicely.

It should actually carve really , my plan is surf and freeride but these things can really grab a rail when u want it to.

I would just thru bolt them with some stainless fender washers, you have plenty of room to access the area through the battery box area.

Nah scuba diver but we had to freedive down to tie up the boat at dive sites, some were deep than others. I had co workers that could free dive for 3-4 mins, it was crazy

Sick vid, brings back bad memories of freediving in HI, i hated it but i had to do it for work. Best i could do was about 75'.

In order to lower the tubes i ended up flipping over the top bracket and steering plate and put the steering on the top. So i had to make that bracket cuz the steering cable mounts on the underside.
