Guys , running an ada head with 37cc domes , b pipe and 46mm mikuni carb at the moment. Going to change to 35cc domes , will I need to re jet the carb , and will I need to replace the o rings on the head with new ones..? Thanks....
Guys , having trouble locating a lightweight charging flywheel that will work with my fx1 motor. Blowsion have a listing for one but turns out it will not fit... Any one else out there selling what I need , any of you guys purchase same ...? Thanks.
Guys , I fitted a replacement bendix. Now I spot a flat washer on the starter side of the one I removed , I think...! I also changed the bendix on a waveblaster 800 a while back and the washer is on one of them , don`t know which one is from the fx1. Should there be a washer on the fx1...
Guys , one of my plug caps split so I ordered a pair of the same part no (NGK LB05EMH). They are similar , same colour , waterproof but more compact than the originals and the part that pushes down over the plug is 1/2 inch shorter... If I install same do you reckon I will have any problems ...
Had to replace the bendix , while I was at it decided to upgrade to a RN aluminium waterbox. I was careful working around the stator, etc. Now it is ticking over at around 2,500 rpm , and adjusting the low idle screws on the carb does not seem to make any notable difference.. Any ideas on how...
Do any of you guys know if the waterbox builds up a lot of heat with normal use....? Reason for asking is I am trying to wedge in an aluminium unit from a 2004 superjet. It looks like it will fit in , but its going be tight and at a bit of a weird angle , and i am a bit concerned about it...
Have any of you dudes had a problem with the adjustment screws on your factory pipe self adjusting when your back was turned..? My bottom and top ones have taken on a life of their own.. I ski on fresh water most of the time , maybe the salt would help keep them tight..! Do you help them stay...
Hey guys , my starter motor bendix is beginning to act up (not engaging) , starter motor just spinning... I know I can remove it , free it up and grease it , but would you recommend that I replace it with a new one instead...... ? Thanks.
Guys , any idea what the average power rating is on a ski that has had the following mods ; ada head with 37cc domes , msd enhanser , b pipe and a 46mm carb.? I know that the stock ski is rated 63 hp. Thanks...
Guys , my ski always left some sooty marks around the exhaust pipe exit after a run , but they were dry... Since I fitted an Ada head , b pipe and 46 mm carb now after a run the deposit has changed to an oily sooty damp patch , (and more of it). The ski is going like the clappers and I am very...
Guys , thinking of removing the stock flywheel and fitting a lightweight item. (3 questions) , 1 : is it easy to remove it , are there any special tools needed & what is the removal procedure. 2 : will a lighter flywheel make a performance improvement like the manufacturers claim , and 3 : as I...
Guys , is it worthwhile changing the stock waterbox for a standard round or square nose one from a superjet , or any of the aftermarket items , like the TDR one sold by Blowsion . do they give any noticeable improvements , acceleration / top end speed etc. or just make more noise.....??
Hey guys , would you please advise me about a pro-tec exhaust system that has been removed from an fx1 , I need to know what other Yamaha models it would also fit. Square nose superjet , round nose , twin carb superjet , wave blaster , waveblaster 2 , 760.... etc. ??? Thanks...
Hey guys , after fitting ada head , B pipe and re-jetting my carb as advised , my FX1 now runs like a rocket but after running at full speed for a bit , when I ease back to idle it splutters and cuts out. (Fuel starvation..?) After pumping the primer a couple of times she will fire up again...
Sorry fx1 guys but I need your advice again...! I have almost finished installing a b-pipe and a girdle ada head. The top of the head has 2 water outlets , I know one goes to the top of the b-pipe , but have no idea where to attach the other outlet to , or just to blank it off. The new set up...
