Hello all, I have my 87 js550 (and an SJ SN) but I want to get this 550 running again. When I hit the start button, my starter makes a fast "whirring" sound but does not spin the flywheel. do I just need a new starter or is there an easier fix?? Thanks all in advance

yikes. (1988 Kawi 550) I believe I had a bad connection on my ground somewhere. I attempted starting my ski and white smoke began to come oute of my electric box. Do I need a new Ebox? or can I get away with a new CDI? anyone have a good ebox for sale? cheap? thank you for your help.

Got a decent deal on a 550 with bad compression (if there is such a thing) for 100 bucks. The guy tried to take off the head but cracked the cylinders in doing so. Got it home last night and tried to remove the head but I started to chip/crack the cylinders. Anybody have suggestions on how...
