I have my carb all taken apart to soak. Do I need to take out the butterflies? Also - any tips for getting the stripped butterfly screws out of the choke and throttle butterfly plates?

stupid question but have you put new spark plugs in and gapped them correctly? made a HUGE difference on my 550pp. I dont remember the proper gap sorry, maybe someone else can chime in with that.

correct but dont put a 61x or 650 cdi on a 62 stator, it will burn up the CDI.

on a 61x the rev limiter is set higher than a 650 (controlled by CDI) on a 62t the CDI is set up to take a higher voltage from the stator.

Could be considered overkill but I set my bunks to 16" on center and put my wave III on there from time to time. Sorry I dont have any real pictures of teh cart but here is the concept.

if you have a winch on the trailer, I suggest using a mechanics creeper. you can easily winch the ski back on the trailer. Fits the SJs very well and rolls really nice around the garage. (sits low and fits under my workbench too.) If you dont want to use that, I'll draw one up for you tomorrow...
