on your 85 550 you need a 86 up manifold for the 44 sbn to bolt up. i'll look for one here but they are plentifull. odds are you're going to need a manifold spacer to space the carb from the cylinder or an aftermarket intake.

you can put a larger brass elbow on the pump and open up the alloy line at the ends as kawi restricted the flow. look on the ends and you'll see what i'm talking about.

nice pipe but you need either a oem440 or aftermarket(prefered) exhaust manifold to make it work. it looks like a short version.if so,expect to loose power as they didn't work all that well. the stock jet power pipe works well with minor mods.

up to 1985 550 were at 37hp.86 up at 41hp. althought the 300 claimed to have more beans than the 440 it was still slower.
