I just got a new gasket from jet maniac that seems to have been designed to even out the cooling flow to the head from cylinder jackets.
Has smaller openings on the side with outlet port and larger ones on the opposite side, this encourages equal flow to the outlet.
Also has two 1/8" holes on at...
Hi guys,
I have a stock 650 topend setup, 1/8" pisser line on head is blocked off, only 3/8" outlet open.
The exhaust is a coffman Sizzler, I have a sealed gasket blocking water jackets from exhaust header to the exhaust pipe as advised in other threads and install sheet.
The ski is setup with...
Cool, I'm the same way and I do appreciate the offer. It's just if the engine blew or something it would be me in an uncomfortable position that I would rather avoid. ;)
I always let others enjoy my toys as long as they can respect them.
I'd be super interested in your buddies top end...
Whoa whoa, everyone cool it a bit.
Dont take it as an insult Sparkplug.
Yes, I do want to spend money because I don't like possessing others things that I don't own.
Everything I possess I own outright with no debts or loans, hope you can understand that.
Also, I know how to build motors. I...
There is one other engine I am looking at that is complete with electronics, let me talk to him a bit and Ill get back to you.
Sorry if this question seems noob, but what is a bendix?
I wouldn't mind waiting but I think that's a bit high for a stock 650.
It doesn't include the stator or ebox right?
I was told by a few experienced members that the engine should run around 300 shipped.
Let me know if that works for you.
Cool sounds like a nice stock motor and just what I need.
I've never shipped an engine but maybe pm Jetmaniac or another member with experience shipping and ask them
Awesome, Im glad to hear your ski is tuned up and ready to rock! :)
Something you might do is take a white mechanics pen (that stays on through oil etc) and mark the screw settings on your carb.
Put a little dash inline with the screwdriver slot so that you can easily check to ensure the screws...
I cant see what the second compression number is, it seems it says 154/ something.
Find out what the compression is and let me know your price on it shipped to 96073.
Is the engine stock or bored once/twice/etc.
Thanks
^ This.
I also have 2010 super jet that is setup amazingly and rips, we can take turns trading off on the skis but need something for the 2nd person to at least move around on the water.
I want to get that smile back on his face asap :)
Thanks everyone for your help.
I talked more with Bruceski and it seems the best route for me at this point is to find a cheap and complete running 650 and throw it in.
I just want to get my brother out on the water with me and not have him disappointed.
Im not familiar enough with ski engines...
This is about the only thread I could find on google discussing 701 premix ratio with aftermarket pipes.
Majority seem to say 50-1.
