Never had any problems with any of my doos other than the fuel lines in the 951 xpl. Never even changed the pump oil in it. Owned it since new. Helping a buddy find a sportster now..

I was curious what you guys think on leaving the SJ bumper off the bow and just doing turf. I see it both ways. Does the bumper help as far as stress? I do plan to tow the SJ. Didn't know if it makes much of a difference wrt strenth?

So would it be best for me to glass over the stock hole then put the hole in when I get the x-metal, or will the x line up with stock? thanks!

I'm planning to run the same hood/pole combo. I see the cable hole below the x metal bracket, did you open that up in the past for a different bracket? I'm about to reinforce and wondered if I should close all that up then re-drill the hole after I get the x metal bracket?

I'm in the midst of this too... just soaking with pb blast right now. When I get them out I'm going to slightly open up the casting hole and then clean up the studs and shrink wrap sleeves on them to isolate the dissimilar metal corrosion. And anti seize just about everything.

Congrats! Do you ride at IRI much? I have a buddy that lives in lewes, I was curious where the best place to take the RN when I'm down. I've always hit the inlet with the couch but the smaller ski might not be a good idea there..

Thanks guys! The SJ won't look bone stock much longer, it goes under the knife soon. Already ordered a bunch of goodies... bpipe, turf + footholds etc.. The boat is new, picked it up as an 08 leftover.
