With that pisser clogged, it was forcing more water into the exhaust stream, could even be loading the waterbox with additional water. Fix the bolt, yes, as the pipe heats up you could have been getting an exhaust leak, as it cools it goes away. Fix these and take for a test ride.

Stay under the 950cc threshold. Above 1k and it becomes a handful unless you detune it some. Then what is the point.

Vumad gave good discription of what to look for. I am gonna give you a simple one, where the pisser is. remove from the thru-hull fitting and blow into it. Is it stopped up? Dirt dobbers are known to make nest in water lines. If so, remove hose from other end and replace or clean back...

Stroked version of 964. More power than anyone needs! Stick with 964.

DASA 950, TPE 964, PHP 898........ any of these would work well still with your BPipe

I would get the Ferrell Fab carts, he is on the west coast if I am not mistaken. Best bang for the buck.

With it dry, back the ski into water with just the ride plate in the water, let sit for 20-30 minutes, pull out and see if any water is coming out of the bolt holes, if so, seal up the insert area. Also, did you run any sealant around any of the tubing in the bulkhead or at the pump...

I think if you look really close it is not as smooth as you think. You do not want any of the fuel mixture to "stick" to the cases, if you polish, this will happen. Just like taking a sheet of glass and sticking it in water, then pick up flat, water will be stuck to the underside.........

How about a standup instead?
