10 day is looking unreal

Warm as hell outside with the sun burning off a morning fog. Just got here and glassy 2-3' waves aplenty. Throwing some shorts on, supposed to be over 70F today.

Leaving this Friday afternoon. Fired the ski up yesterday to burn some of the fogging oil off, and loaded the truck up. I cannot wait to ride surf, dirtbikes, drink beers, and relax in FL. Will be on the beach riding this coming Sunday!

It was pretty mild out in NJ today, so I decided to load the van up for Friday's Daytona departure. I gave the 24/7 hood a quick bath before stowing it away for the drive. Josh will have it a week from today.

Cant be done by the 4th...lol I still have the hood.

Added this thread to my FL ridespot list. I have family in St Pete's, one day I have to go over there an to some tanker chasing with you guys.

The best setup for under a drysuit, is obviously a purpose made thermal clothes. DUI makes a very nice set but its pricey as hell. The next best I found was one of those "wicking" under armor long sleeve shirts and a winter track pants. They will not get the "sweat weight" that sweat pants...

Do you have a link to the air flapper mod you did? I put a fmf pipe, header, and tuner on mine but never messed with the airbox. I know thats def holding it back. Thats insane. I cannot imagine jumping downhill on dirt with SM tires. I'd eat s__t!

Thank again dude, thats what I wanted to hear. Amazon had ONE 2012 model medium/tall chest zip 4/3 left, so I just snagged it up. Will be here thurs. Stoked to have a warm suit if we get any cold days in Daytona.

Matt thanks!! How about days where its not so cold? Not to familiar with NW water/air temps, but on the days where water is in the 50's and air is not so bad, how is the suit without a tour coat? At this point I am 99% going to be hunting down a 4/3 FBOMB tomorrow.

Good move. I had a few neoporene drysuits like that, they work great when its really cold. Plus if you break down, you actually have a change out in artic water temps with the drysuit.
