I fill the bilge up with water and then start flushing with salt away. As it is flushing out the motor I turn the bilge on. I use a sponge to get the last little bit of water out of the bilge. Then use a good bit of WD40 or TC9 or T-11 (which ever one is closest to reach) etc all over...
Luckily we haven't gotten real big surf since 1991's "All Hallows' Eve" storm. If anyone remembers that one? It was a biggen. I remember surfing some "20 foot" waves in Melbourne. There was 35' high deep-water waves hindcast for that storm!!
To bad there isn't a Nor' Easter brewing that...
I do understand why there was a pin hole NOW :twak:. Never thought of that. So much to learn. I'm guessing the elbow should have been at the very top of loop before the line goes down to the siphon basket. If that is correct I must have changed it at some point and put the elbow with the...
Sebastion was fun 2-3' yesterday but had just a bit of a bump from being a little windy. By the afernoon the tide had come in and Monster Hole stopped breaking around 4:00pm. I was the only one out most of the day other than some sit down skis.

Look at the little plastic elbow fittings on your stock scupper water line if that is still stock. I had a pin hole in one of the fittings and my ski took on a lot of water and almost sunk one day when I left it sitting for an hour.
Also, make sure the stock scupper hose line goes up as...
Yup
1)intake grate
2)0 degree bars
3)bilge
4)footwells
5)shorten stock pole
6)D-cut ride plate
My ski is almost stock but with the above additions. I've got a couple other "bling" options but the above were the best money and time spent. The intake grate made the ski almost unridable...
I would take everything apart and check all the connections and give it a good cleaning.
My van was running great for a whole weeks worth of driving up to Georgia. Then when I was about 20 miles from home it just quit while driving down the highway. Rolled off the road and went oh crap this...
Would this do? Just add a wave machine and your good to go! A few billion would be a start.

I feel weird without a helmet. I don't have hair so the helmet keeps the sun off my lid as well.
I was riding flat water a month or so ago and did a turn sub and the ski popped up with me way off the back of the ski. When it popped up it was nose high it somehow flipped over and landed on...
Over the past year I have noticed my ski was getting heavier. I figured I had didn't seal up my footwells right when I installed them at the beginning of '08. No biggie I wanted to modify the wells sometime in the next couple of years and I figured I would defoam at that time.
My ski...
My Dad is from Coleman Michigan. I don't remember the last time he was up there. Maybe 30 or more years ago. Move to Florida. Lots of good houses for cheap right now!

Gotta say an all electric ski would be good. Especially in the surf. All sealed up with maybe a water jacket around the motor, batteries and speed control for cooling.
Some of the new lithium polymer 40C discharge cells would be up to the task of powering a ski for a while. Problem is run...
Yeah, put clamps and tie wraps where clamps won't fit. A friend and I were doing some very light riding last summer. It was his first time on a ski. Basicly running at idle for a couple hours. I took it out and did a fast run for about a 1/2 mile. Then the ski stopped running right. Then...
The bicycle shop down the street from my house sells the ape hanger type bars. That would be funny having a set on the ski for a bit. Would need a longer throttle cable.
I don't mind $1 a month at all but I actually use some of the adds. There is adds for shops and items that I didn't know about so it's all good.
Maybe fewer adds. I am a member of several paid sites that have adds but they are not very intrusive.
A members only forum is a good idea for...
