They are removable, just 8 nice long bolts with nuts underneath the 3/4" plywood and it's all taken out.

Damn, there is some serious hate on the sti in that thread! Anybody who says the sti is a girl car needs to have their head examined, or has never heard of Colin McRae. 300hp, 300ft-lbs and all wheel drive with a driver controlled center differential... best snow-(auto)-mobile ever. Great...

First off... equal length headers? I love the boxer rumble, wouldn't want to lose it! Secondly, no cats, external wastegate, and nur spec? That thing's gotta sound like a harley coming down the road, you can probably hear that coming from blocks away. Yeah, enough subie convo... they're...

Just 93 octane. I'd love to get a 20G or gt35r, well actually any turbo bigger than the stock one. I've got a full 3" catless turboback and a pro-tune so far in the power department.

Nice. Gotta have a big turbo on there, I know the stock turbo here isn't good past ~350whp. I'm only at 300 at the wheels so far :-P but I still get 26mpg on a good tank!

Ah, very nice... Was considering getting a Leggy GT myself, just came across an STi I couldn't pass up :)

Wow, nice! We didn't get that version sti in the states... boo. Glad to see more subie owners representing though :)

CarFanatic - With the stock handlepole? Also, what methods do the rest of you guys use to keep the pole down?

    My trailer solution

Hahaha, yes. We were in the process of tying it down when I stepped back and took a few pictures. I'm going to figure out a better way of doing it in the future, but we just used rope loops through the bow and stern holes and used tie-downs to crank them tight to the trailer. I also threw one...

Thanks. It's great, I can still strap a bunch of stuff on the trailer, it's got a foot or so on each side. I'm pretty happy with the setup! Cost me 50 bucks in material, too... so better than spending a couple hundred on a new or used one.

Haha, thanks guys. Wouldn't trade that car for any other. I got the hitch from etrailer.com. Great company to deal with... quick shipping and excellent product. I got the Curt hitch and had to get the kartboy.com exhaust hangers to provide the clearance over the exhaust since mine is...

    My trailer solution

Modified my dad's old motorcycle trailer to carry the new sj this weekend, and I thought I'd make a thread so that if anybody else was thinking of doing it they'd have another idea to help with the brainstorming. It's a regular one axle trailer with 3/4" plywood covering the top surface. I got...

    New superjets in short supply?

Just picked up an '08 from Action Yamaha in NJ. They didn't seem to have a problem finding one...

Great, thanks. That's a perfect overview... so you just flip it on when you figure you're filling up? When you're trying stabs, subs, etc?

And I've read a few threads about sealing the stock hood... where does the intake get fresh air from then? I'll start new threads or shut up if you guys want...

I figured as much. Next question: Bilge pumps. How do they get triggered? Are they always on, or do they have a float indicator (unlikely) or some other means of going off/on when needed? I am searching for this as well, but it's hard to get that specific question in a search.

Thanks guys! I love a responsive forum. I'll try the switch-stance thing next time I'm out. I'm curious what the deal is with cavitation and a stock motor / prop. I've seen the videos, and it looks like all the good freeriders can just blip the throttle and jump way up in the air for...

Agreed. I had to force myself to chill out and stop the death grip on the bars... It doesn't matter how hard I hold it. My core muscles are pretty sore from a day of riding! My abs are definitely worn, I didn't even know I was using them. Forearms are slightly sore, but not bad. One...

Hey guys- I've been doing research and surfing the forums for the last few months, and decided stand-ups look like fun. I'd never ridden a stand-up until this weekend. I drove 7 hours and picked up a brandy new '08 Superjet. I even got to take it out of the crate and everything. Anyway...
