    Destin, FL riding/rentals

I am going on a family vacation in August to Destin/Miramar Beach, FL. We are staying right on the beach and was wondering if anyone knew of a local place that had superjet rentals or something similar. All I can find are couch rentals. I don't even know if there is a place that would let me...

    GPS tracking for your ski/trailer!!

Exactly. Not supposed to jump wake of other boats or even your own skis wake. We usually find out where water patrol is and then go to the other end of the lake. Then when they buzz down to that end, we go to the other end. Endless cycle of staying away from patrol. Its a 600 acre lake so...

    GPS tracking for your ski/trailer!!

Ha! The board is full of older residents who want to make it a sailing and pontoon lake only. At first they thought bringing the vintage skis back was a fun thing to see but now they are back to being grumpy farts. No chance in changing their minds until the new generation takes over.

    GPS tracking for your ski/trailer!!

It just depends on how often it moves. For me, my ski/trailer doesnt move during the winter. Once spring hits, i ride here and there (wife had a baby last June so didnt ride much at all). With this tracker its just 4 AA batteries so they said if you are traveling with it 5-6 hours, you will...

    GPS tracking for your ski/trailer!!

It doesn’t say GPS tracking on it so they may think nothing of it. Also I could always hide it up by the water box or next to the tank. This was just a quick and easy way for me. Again just sharing for others to take a peak. I would definitely mount it better if I had a built AM ski but our home...

    GPS tracking for your ski/trailer!!

I have insurance on it but also have a deductible. So a $10 a month fee isn’t a big deal, plus it’s just $10. In my situation they probably would @fx1mark but if I screwed or bolted it to something they would have a tougher time. Or they might just grab it n go. Who knows. There was a story...

    GPS tracking for your ski/trailer!!

I came across a company called GoTrack that does national GPS tracking for vehicles and assets. I spoke with Jeff there and he set me up with a small asset tracker for my ski. You can order this online and they will ship it to you for free!! So far this thing is sweet!! It pings every 12...

Need help deciding how to fill a scupper hole

I really appreciate your generosity, the only problem is I don't have a way of glassine from the inside unless I cut the tray open which I would like to avoid.

Need help deciding how to fill a scupper hole

The foam in a can isn't water resistant. Last thing I want is the foam in there soaking up any water if some gets through. Already bought the 2 part fiberfoam kit for $30. Still hesitant to do pvc fitting due to personal preference.

Need help deciding how to fill a scupper hole

This is on a squarenose. I don't know much about it. The hole through the hull has a solid wall around the entire channel. Tried to show that in the second picture

Need help deciding how to fill a scupper hole

I bought the 2 part fiberfoam kit from Blowsion. Going to 5200 a plate over the back hole, fill the column with the fiberfoam and then cover the hole in the engine bay with a plate and 5200. Anyone agree with that approach?

Need help deciding how to fill a scupper hole

It shouldn't pop off too easily. I was going to 5200 the plexiglass then use a 2 part epoxy resin from US Composites to fiberglass over the plexiglass plate.

Need help deciding how to fill a scupper hole

I don't want to install the scupper. The hole was already cut when I got the ski and it was too big for the current scupper. I just want to seal it so it won't take on water.

Need help deciding how to fill a scupper hole

I just picked up a new ski that was cut for a scupper however it was cut too big. Instead of trying to make it work, I am just going to fill the entire hole since it has a bilge and I will be riding on a small lake. My idea was to use polycarbonate plexiglass and 5200 to initially seal the...
