Thats not what JSS meant by that, he's talking about when the coils come in for wires he's seen very few actually fail at the coil its self. The bad ones people got, were from bad wires. Run JSS coils on all my skis, problem free

Yes it would weaken the spring, but it will still be plenty strong. We've been running springs that way for years problem free

hold the pole down and heat the spring a little to get it neutral

No issues with the XFS, the only reason why it was a little more work, is it didnt come with a pump shoe installed like the chan and bob

The two easiest hulls I have assembled have been a chan and a gen3. A rickter XFS is little more work and a Rok-R is a lot more work to build!

Got the air leak all fixed, just working on tuning the ski more. I haven't got a lot of ride time all the hull, but I'm really enjoying it so far. It feels super light and flickable, stable and carves really nice. Might have another Backie Chan on the way up here really soon
