We have a lake a few blocks away that is electric only as well. My thought is if they saw someone going 20+ mph the old people would throw a fit and implement a speed limit..

Do you have an OEM CDI or a cheap one off amazon? Probably worth replacing the charge coil on the stator and the cdi. (oem only)

Clear coat works well. There is some fancy 2 part polish compound you can get that is supposed to keep it from tarnishing as well.

I cant find it, but there was a thread a few years ago where the guy was doing something similiar with raspberry pi and using it to data log and help with tuning. Anyway if anyone can remember his name or find the thread there might be some helpful info in there.

Either one will make a big difference over the stocker. Call up Glen at impros and he will tell you exactly which one you need. Doubt the pump cone will make any noticeable difference.

Hit up your local Thrift store. Or Walmart/Target might have something cheap.
