Does anyone else launch their ski from the back of a minivan?

You worry too much :D I'd say it's safer than a trailer in all of those regards, and putting it in the back of a minivan would be a disaster in an accident.

    FX-1 hornedogg's FX-1 build

That's going to vibrate and buzz like a m'fer, you need more space between the hull and chamber. Also, these pipes RIP, I run them in every ski that they fit in.

No, we had a dissagrement on the price of shipping and tax on one they had in the warehouse so I decided not to buy.

    Surfriding 08+ superjet tubbies

Essentially, yes. The '08+ hull handles considerably better than the previous hull at high speeds, the difference of the '08+ hull with handling mods is similar to the difference between the pre and post 2008 hulls.

    Surfriding 08+ superjet tubbies

I have ridden my '08 with only an upgraded intake grate back to back with one that had an intake grate, PW rideplate and PW front sponsons and the difference was amazing. Handling on the buoy course was soo much better especially in rough water.

TBM big hub/cone in OEM 155

Full disclaimer: I have no idea if this will work well in an OEM 155 stator. I have never run a 155 in anything, and I do not intend on testing this setup without the TBM hub so I will have no analytical information on how it compares. I plan on running a big hub Skat impeller, probably 6/12...

TBM big hub/cone in OEM 155

The inside corners of the veins seen in the last pic did not need to be modified (I don't think). I was misguided by trying to fit that piece in before really getting the other end properly fitted.

TBM big hub/cone in OEM 155

Once that piece slides in without obstruction, you need to modify the end shoulder directly adjacent the driveshaft threads (where the hub of the impeller sits). The 144 hub must be smaller, this needs worked down until the TBM piece can slide down over it. I am working with a hand grinder and...

TBM big hub/cone in OEM 155

I wanted to do a super detailed how-to on this since I couldn't find one but got lazy with the pictures and bored with grinding so I will throw this out and answer questions to fill in the gaps. At first glance it seemed like it would fit in easy but it took a significant amount of grinding, I'm...

    Hitch haulers and small cars

Hitch hauler on anything unibody scares me, the inserts just don't seem up to the task, I have seen some pulling out of a Jeep Cherokee (XJ) "frame" from hitch hauler use. From my experience: Jeep Cherokee - my frame inserts where okay, the suspension sagged hard, everything else worked okay...

Freestyle R&D pump cone and OEM 155 pump

I just completed one, it is a good bit of grinding, test fitting and grinding. I plan on doing a quick writeup soon on the work needed. I have not tested it yet and likely will not test it back to back without the hub since all the work is done.
