@tzane yea I guess I was calling the ignition coil the cdi...I thought it was one in the same, as when I bought the replacement, (the black Mitsubishi box with the plug wires coming out) it was listed as a "cdi"...either way, you telling me that the intermittent/non existent spark would make...

I understand that, if this was a DUAL carb setup, and the PTO plug was rich/wet/carboned-up, you'd adjust the PTO carb and if the MAG plug was fine, you'd leave the MAG carb the way it is. How do you do this on a single carb when the PTO plug needs attention and the MAG is ok?

@turboless terry thanks for letting me know that. I may go with the jet tribe cover if I can get a view of the back and see if it does cover the pump. Or, since I'm not worried about towing with it on, I may get one for like an 800 so it'll be a little loose, but it'll cover more

@Paulk1 Actually went onto the blowsion site as well as third party suppliers, and for some reason I can't find one for the 650sx.. Just the 750 and 800 and then for some Yamis.. Nothing for the 650sx. If ANYONE Comes across the blowsion cover for an 89 650sx, PLEASE let me know. Thanks!

Hey Mike, It's doesn't open easily. It is tight and snug, however I can unlatch it whether the dial is set to lock or unlock. I do hear a click noise when turning the dial, I guess it's just not engaging. Is there a fix to this mechanism? Such as take it apart and reattach a spring or something...
