im sure you know but if you do go with a much more powerful motor you will need to get another impeller to take advantage of it. or at least a repitch, but i think that only goes so far.

get a motor you can afford in a freeride setup, an impeller to match it, trim if you really want to do a wake flip.
your motor will flip just fine, but i wouldnt recommend learning flips on small waves. on this coast if the waves 4 foot its about that deep where it breaks.
buy what you can afford. 1000cc is ALOT of power. not needed for anything but flatwater backflip stuff. the 865 or whatever is probly what you want, but really you should just go get whatever you can afford. call up a few builders and see what they can do for you within your budget. be sure to...
this is supposedly the best cam there is, 220 films was telling me how its all he uses and none can compare. havent priced them out though.
