I spent 4-6 hours re aligning the motor pulled the pump to check out the prop. Feels a little better but its not going to make the ski any faster or stronger I dont think, also found the shaft has a slight bend in it, about .010 if I had to guess. Still have my dealer buddies on the hunt for one...

My motor raps out as quick as any other a ski but the 08 was passing me on the top end so I got off it. Mine has a vibration on the bottom that I have thrown 300-400$ at to fix with no luck. while the 08 is super smooth. my hull takes on water like the titanic as its going under my buddy can...

Mostly pissed off about carburation, dual 44's that ran like hell and couldnt be tuned for some reason and I didnt want to get a dam degree to figure it out and a single 48 that didnt hit as hard as a 08 with a head pipe and a prop. I would rather get an 09 and put a head, pipe and prop and run...

Its not bad, looking at a job change, if it works out life will be great and set for a while. Right now I am doing pretty good :)

You sir are correct an oem won't but an AM pjs cylinder will. The motor I took apart has a pp base but had dual carbs and reeds with some cool looking porting. If I was more into 550's I would have put it together and put it back in a 550 to see what it would do.

I traded shafts for what I thought was a better one, My last one was bent and this one is straight, Didn't notice any unusual wear but will inspect it closer when I trade props... if this 15.5 is the same pitch as a kawi 15.5 my ski will eat it up and spit it out... Im on a boat lol funny song...

Trying to diagnose a vibration and have 2 extra props I can try, If the vibration goes away I will order a new prop. If not I will contiue searching for the problem. I have aligned the motor with rubber out and have it perfect and it shakes like hell just above idle for just a second till it...

2nd that Mine died last summer, would run most the day till I started it one to many times then I have to be towed in, replace it and been good since. Point being seems like your culprit is else where. Follow the wires and see whats going on. Could be down by the stator thats sending the charge...

I have sealed and re sealed and used sealant and never been able to keep water out of my box on my 93 superjet. It has water EVERY time. My plan is to thread a bolt in the bottom so it could be drained and left open to dry after every ride.

Im diggin the single carb. Rode from noon till 8:00 off an on this afternoon, tuned it by ear to start and adjusted the high and was ripping from the start. Plug hack says I am rich but it pulls pretty good. I think there is some to be had from the bottom end but top end seems pretty stout...

There ya go! My seals were about 5 hours old when I hydro locked the motor so my seals were still good just swapped them to another stock oem I had :)

I would replace with new seals, they are pretty cheap, will set you back a week but well worth it since you already put for this effort. Save yoruself time and money and just order new seals! Seal failures happen, not often but they do (seen it last summer) I usually put a light coat of 1211...
