I got my carbs rebuilt today along with some other odds and ends. Tomorrow engine is going in. Also weighed it. 125 lbs with what you see in the picture, turf and pissers/bow eyes.

Are we sure all mikuni carbs have bushings? These are OEM 44's off a gp760. Nothing is coming out.

I've seen a couple threads on this topic. People say there are bushings in there, I'm sure there are but I don't see how they come out. Do they push in towards the throat of the carb or do you pull them out? Thanks

There! Happy! Lol I did get a package from JM today ;). Will be able to put motor in and do 1st startup this weekend.

I dont think I would put my carb in paint stripper like that. I'd be worried about the bushings and seals around the throttle and choke shafts.

I'd probably throw it in in the morning and pull it out sometime later that evening. It may not get all the paint off but it sure will get it clean.

I would just soak it in some chem-dip if you are trying to get rid of the paint. It usually does a pretty good job of stripping the paint right off. I dont know about aircraft stripper. Oh and yes disassemble carb. Once soaked rinse out with water and blow out with compressed air.

Wow is turfing difficult. Got all the padding down and one side of the turf done.

They are genuine mikuni. I ordered the 41.50 kit cause I had some amazon credits to spend. I dont know where the $20 one went.
