Yea, Port A works great. Skis, pit bikes, bonfires. Plus all the bars, restaurants and such. I like that its only 2.5 hours away. The surf can be pretty good too. If it's flat, we can always got to the jetty and hit some huge fishing boat wakes!
If it's any consolation to those that have other things to do those dates, several of us are planning a 1.5 day trip next month to port A. All will be welcome.
Looks like Port A it is. Now we need to get the date right.
The only problem I see with week before is that's the weekend right after a race. Racers will have a hard time making two ski trips in a row. Other than that, it shouldn't be an issue. Of coarse, we can't keep changing the date...
Vote count is looking good for April 29,30 and May 1st so far. I have called some hotels and they are all wide open right now. Lets wrap up this voting in a day or so and get things rolling. Please link up this page to your forums and spread the word.
We are working on official dates for the 2011 LSFR freeride. The tentative date is April 29,30th and May 1st. The next weekend is Mothers day and two weeks prior is a race. This date dose not conflict with any holiday and gives racers two weeks to recover from the race. Tentative but most...
OK, Sid started this thread, he suggested I start a thread to decide the date, location ect. Here it is. Please wait till I have the beach rules sorted out before voting.

OK, checked it out. I don't think that will effect us much. It's being held at a school track. This may fill up a hotel or two but there are plenty of places to stay and many of us are camping. Usually about half of us camp. We havent set the date for sure, nor the location. I'll contact...
Ah! good info. Cold is good for Texas surf so the sooner the better but we definitely don't want to piss off cancer haters. I'll look into the event. Thanks for the input!
Yea, thats an X-2. Ether imported OEM Kawasaki from down under, a trinity composite, or a splash from someone else. Great ski. Too bad our EPA rules killed them before they even got started here in the states.
I'm sure the pics will roll in shortly after everyone returns home. Just like last year. Till then, ya'll have fun. We'll keep on razin' till we see them pics!
I used to wear the asics. Now that my joints are older and I jump and ride surf more, I wear nike shock high tops. The forefoot is thin like wrestling shoes but the heal helps a ton when you land a little flat. These shoes have saved my knees and back a time or two.
