Sanoman: I weigh almost 200lbs. Plus I replaced the pop off spring and the reed valves and it ran waaaaay better today. Still needs a ton of tuning. I'll try to get get another video tomorrow afternoon.
Stiunts: I didn't actually go to SWT but I did go to a ton of parties there. Still a big...
Thanks. It is the Guad. Just south of the I-35 bridge. Great place to ride because of all the pro level Wakeboarders and glassy water. It's like a highway for boats in the summer. Wake after wake after wake. Lots of fun. This light ski is going to launch off those wakes. I'm kinda scared...
Read back a bit around post #8.
Yes, it will eventually have a very unique 4stroke. But it's not finished. The manufacturer is still working on it. This new motor will be as light as the 300 motor and makes about 50 hp stock but can add another 45hp with a simple bolt on device. The idea...
Second video is up. It sounds weird for several reasons. First it's a 300 single cylindar. Second, it has a loud Kerker pipe. Third, its running on 2/3 choke with a major carburation or reed vale issue. I can't imagine how it's going to run with a tuned motor and 2/3 more throttle.
Rode the ski today. Got some good footage of how well it rides. Thanks to BBYamaha for filming.
We had some major issues. It Ran great on the trailer. The second we dropped it in the water, it died immediately. I messed with the pop off to no avail. Might be an issue with the reed valves...
I was told by someone at WCF I believe to use the poly to bond decks. They recommended some stuff from west marine that was about $30 a tube. That's why I tried the poly from Home Depot. Sometimes you don't get what you pay for. Check out the specks of that stuff compared to Loctight before...
Well, With whatshisnutz not putting up his front logo and all, we might as well vote. So I guess we'll get started/
Everyone go ahead and vote. Its Between Peter123s design with his star on the front or Swapomeet's or my version of swapmeet's.
You cant just glue in the mounts alone. You need a large surface area to bond securely. I would say the area used for the fx-1 mounts pictured above would be a minimal amount. You could mount the mounts to an aluminum or SS base if you don't have a chopped up hull to steal from. Then glue...
Its already a 38 manifold and spacer. Just had a small carb.
Just a thought about the boost bottle: Couldn't someone take two of these 300 setups with the boost bottle intake manifold and mod them to fit their setup? Someone could make an adapter plate to fit other setups. This one...
They came with a tiny little 30ish round body. I was told to use a 34 from a wr500. Seemed small. Was told by some the 38 would be to big. That didn't make any since to me. Your comments made me wonder. Now I feel the 38 is a good choice. Way bigger than stock but not too big. I got a 38...
Here's an Idea. Glass will vibrate loose. Have you messed with polyurethane adhesive? I've used a ton lately. It's amazingly strong and used for skis all the time. I noticed that not only is it used everywhere but the FX-1 came from the factory with mounts from another ski glued into the...
My 300sx has a boost bottle. I'm going to try it with and without. It will take 30 seconds to change from boost bottle to capped off. I'll get a good comparison and report back.
CARBONX2: What carb size would you suggest for a 300 then? I think its actually aground 325cc.
Red was probably the first color he grabbed in the paint app. If I did it, it woulda been neon orange. He just did it as a joke and it was kinda funny. Some of us liked it so its getting a vote.
Just my thoughts, I like this silly one with a small simple version of what you did. This would go in the center front like this:
With this as the back full size
Yep. That was it. I had the reverse bucket down. LOl.
No really, I went ahead and pulled it apart. Thurns out there was a ton of grease everywhere. I think that contributed. I cleaned it off and did a big no no and put blue lock tight on it. Hopefully it will hold but not too well.
I'm...
