Thanks for the responses guys! So I just stopped by my local shop and they sold me a WSM carb gasket, but it also has a dab of sealant but only on one side haha. I assume the sealant should go on the carb side and the manifold side just gets the clean gasket?

Great info thanks! I'm going to try to get a new gasket, but in case I can't get one locally I may try the motoseal and reuse the old one (old one is only an hour or so old and in good shape) Previous owner had some sealant on there though. Does the motoseal come off nicely or is it a headache...

Im just about to reinstall dual 38s in my sj and was wondering if you all ever use any sealant alongside the normal gaskets. Do you use a thin layer? Or prefer to just use the gasket on its own? I'm no carb pro so I thought I'd ask here first :)

I would never buy a ski I can't water test. Been there, done that! (I got lots lots of used seadoos over the years...but I'm bored of them so it's stand up time.:) I don't mind doing road trips and every few months drive right across the country just for fun! If I can come home with new toy...

They are both sn...one claims to be a 1990 (650) and one claims to be a 94 (but I will double check for tags! Thank you for this advice!)
