Yes, it has been done. Post pics of pipe and where it hitting, I have taken a rubber mallet to my BPipe Chamber before to get clearance from bedplates and hull sides. you may can just get away doing that. Dont make big hits, you want to do alot of smaller hits and slowly massage the pipe...

Yeah, you need a bottom tap. Like Pro-Pulsion said, you can grind a regular tap or go purchase the bottom tap. This lets you fully thread the entire depth.

They work on the back unless you had added thicker under padding and had the deeper billet Stern Eye.

I have the piece that goes into the bow eye if you want it.
