    XS 1200-1400 engines (66E) electronics ?

Good question, they will only run with the zeeltronic and they will still charge. You can only swap if you are using a zeel as its a dc cdi and not using the flywheel to make the ignition cdi power

    XS 1200-1400 engines (66E) electronics ?

Zeeltronic will work killer on it. im not 100% on the static angle but you can use an 800 or 760 flywheel on the zeeltronic on an 800.

Watercraft Talk cdi test vs OCD cdi test

Msd is not known for being consistant in its curve and its pretty much a waste of tome. I always use a direct inline timing light for checking ignition timing as the high hz the light can see can cause wander or cause the light to play up. Even my snap on light has wander in it at high rpm the...

    New Mod B Pipe

Hey mate, i dont have your pipe you are after, but as a question im wondering why the mod chamber ?? its one of the lowest performing chambes you can buy in this configuration. The limited chamber makes a lot more power

    Updated porting temp plate

Its in a 2008 plus hull. I was using a tbm ride plate an an r&d grate, it was with one of our pump cones and a protec mach two pipe. I have since gone to a prowatercraft plate, our sxr chamber. I went back to 46mm carbs from 48s to take some hit off it as it was beating me up, I also went for a...

Fx1 144 conversion billet baby billet

yup i have an update. Our complete billet trim system which we need to make this a bolt in is almost finished and hopedully we will have pics of that soon. Im not just waiting on that so we can then align the pump completely and then make the decision if to use the stock wearring or to make our...

    Updated porting temp plate

I’m running a 12/18 with a solas 12 vane pump. I did have a 11/17 in it and it was a rocket but was giving away a lot of top end. I had run this same engine with a 10/16 hooker and it rips off the bottom and throttle response.

    Updated porting temp plate

Absolutely you can make power at high RPM with a lower exhaust port as you are talking about. However, the power is not coming from the exhaust port height — it’s coming from the blowdown port time-area. The exhaust needs to dump enough pressure so that when the transfers open they don’t stall...

    Updated porting temp plate

Racing outboards run 175° ports with no pipe — the pulse-tuned system keeps flow moving past 8000 rpm without needing a reflected wave not as good as a chamber but really only works on a triple configuration. v6 are the same as they are two triples. Wet pipes below 7000 rpm ? Did you mean dry pipes

    Updated porting temp plate

I could do that, but the reality is these engines are very similar and will end up tuning much the same. Personally, if you want to widen the exhaust port, you’re far better off starting with a 62T cylinder — it will bolt straight on, and you can sell your 61X. Another issue I see with your...
