Having problems with water filling up your lay-down style pipe and getting into your expensive motor? Can't fit a tall waterbox into your hull but still want protection against water intrusion? Don't want to worry about rubber flaps degrading and tearing off? This might be the waterbox for you...
Welded up several of the new waterboxes over the weekend. Takes a lot longer than expected to tack everything together without any gaps but it's a very nice tight fit around the flap and baffle. I think I'll try to recreate the first test video with these as they are now sealed up much better...
Well I finally got another batch of tank parts in after being on order for three weeks. My apologies to those of you on the wait list! I'll have 4.7g(battery tray), 5.3g(no battery tray), 3.3g(battery tray), and 3.8g(no battery tray) tanks in stock.
I'll also be getting in a small batch of...
Yes, I do believe there has been at least one. Money back if it doesn't fit. What pipe are you running?
I'll have these two extra waterboxes finished up within a week. I'll PM you guys to set up some testing!
That was my thinking, if I can make it durable enough. I hate the rubber flappers on scuppers because they degrade and fail so quickly. Of course with the aluminum you have to worry about metal fatigue from it slamming open/shut. May need to reinforce a few points. The prototype flapper is made...
Would anyone be interested in testing a waterbox? I've been kicking this idea around for quite some time but haven't had the motivation to finish it up. Finally added a few sets of prototype parts to the last batch of tanks and just tacked one up for bench testing. The idea was to try and design...
I've got a 3.3 gallon tank that was returned because it didn't quite fit in a hull (Performance Jet Worx X1C) and has a few minor scratches on it from fitting. Hasn't been used, it's actually the one with the red cap pictured above. I'll knock $10 off the price and include the sight tube for...
Thanks! Prices would be the same. The first two pics are of the 4.7g, the 3rd pic is of the 3.8g (left) and 3.3g (right)
Also, if anyone needs a replacement gasket for the bolt-on style caps, I now have them in Viton!
I now have 4.7 gallon, 3.3 gallon, and 3.8 gallon tanks in stock! Black caps finally came in too.
Made a few small changes to the 4.7. Added additional clearance for the TNT pipe, although a smaller waterbox like the PFP would still be needed. Rotated the battery tray and made it deeper for...
I've had a few people request the 3 gallon sized tank without the battery tray; would anyone else be interested in one? Going to be ordering parts for another batch here soon and I would be ordering only as many as requested. The capacity increases to 3.9 gallons.
Ballin! I've got a 26" EX8 I bought used a couple years ago, but rode the 29" EX9 at a Trek demo day. Awesome bike if you can afford it! One of these days I'll find a good deal on a used one and upgrade.
Schmidty, have you checked out Pinkbike? They have a pretty good classifieds section.
Sorry guys, I'm on vacation until early next week and haven't been able to access xh20.
I have recently switched the sight tube over to nylon tubing with oetiker clamps. The sight tube will be optional on tanks from here out incase you have to mount the tank close to the engine or the bottom...
Might want to check out Viton tubing at Mcmaster Carr. It's expensive at $6.90/ft, but Viton is the most impervious material I have found when it comes to gasoline/ethanol. It has zero effect on it and doesn't harden.
