I cleaned and wire wheeled threads on all the hardware today. I also cut, drilled, painted, and assembled the jet pump with the new 10/16 'Hooker' impeller. Hard to see in the pics but the paint is a metallic charcoal.
I had some parts blasted and almost ready for paint but the weather has been too cold to hook up the hose and wash 'em. I did that yesterday and got some parts painted today. I can't reveal my secret technique but that headpipe IS painted, NOT ceramic coated.
Interesting thought. I always felt this way about liquor stores and smoke shops. Yet, here they still are. I guess there's 5 new addicts for every 1 that buys the farm.
I'm 6'8" and rode bikes and 3 wheelers forever. I've ridden a BUNCH of different bikes. Stay away from anything 125cc.......not enough power for big guys. The 2 stroke 250 or larger......great power and suspension......MOST are not good trail bikes. I had a circuit built CR250 for about 13...
I have 'tuned' mine. I added 3" to the chamber at the coupler. Dried out the exhaust. Gasket matched the manifold to headpipe. Drilled a few holes through the baffle in the waterbox. Tweaked my old Mako 16 impeller. "Power" tuned the carb. And did my "fast burn" mod to the stock head.
