OK,......how do we keep the 550 hull from skating around like it's on ice once we get into the mid 40's? I know there's lots of fast conversion skis around so what's the dealio? If I don't let off the throttle from the skating around my whole ski starts to barrel roll to the right.

This is an oem head that I rechambered and milled, still slightly staggered as original was. Depending on your setup this will be anywhere from 170-190psi. 95-100 octane fuel $150 shipped.

A customer of mine has a couple 550's and wanted the SBN carbs for better performance and tuneability. It just so happens he owns the equipment needed to build his own intake spacers. Here is one of the intake spacers he made and a F/A adapter to stealthily mount up the stock arrestor to the new 44.

I put an SBN44 on a '90 model 550. The ski is otherwise bone stock. I put in a 100 pilot and 120 main jet. Popoff is at 20psi. The ski seems to run out just fine but is pretty hard to start. Seems like you have to give it partial choke and crack the throttle while cranking and it will finally...
