Its not the guage its the shrader valve there are 4 diffrent psi setting shrader valves. white ring and red ring valves are the weakest ones and used for low compression motors like mules and atv's black ring are harder and used on motorcycles or higher comp. engines

There is a reason Kawi mounted the e-box to a seperate bracket and not to the bulkhead aka hull wall for non fish people. the vibration generated through the hull can damage the electrical components prematurly. But anything to save weight right WRONG. Horse power will always over come weight.

Just spend the bucks and go with a TDR waterbox get the baffled one it has a sweet sound with out being to loud and is lighter than stock if you are not happy with it re sell it and if you are happy witch i know you will be then post your stock box up for sale and make back the price diffrence.

You can even find a zxi 750 pump on e-bay and take out the stock pump wedge that is in they it fits the sxr800 pump to . install it up side down to bring the nozzle 4degrees up. this will make the nose of the ski mad lighter. flush ride plate works too but be sure this is what you want you will...
