ok a buddy of mine has a 440 and he was telling me today of a problem he's having
start the ski up ski runs fine..idles fine..revs fine and after about 45 seconds or so it just shuts off
what could be causing this problem??
he said fuel is flowing just fine...
stator??

finally.....sitting around yesterday working on the ski i relized that since i bought it i only got 3 hours at the most out of this thing and it is now been sompletely gone through.....first it ran kinda ok..then came fire.... toasted motor..busted motor mounts....but finally..she runs good..on...
ok today we got my new motor i got from x-2 rags along with the new coil from wedoseadoo installed..i've got compression, spark, and plugs smell like fuel...but this thing wont fire up:thinking:...the only thing that we can find wrong is one of the studs on my bcw intake wont fully let the carb...

X-2 RAGS..without the favor of pulling your motor off of fleabay and taking your reserve price for it..who knows how long...
ok lets start the day off i get up at 5:30 this morning take care of a few things then load up and pull off to head to pensacola to see justin(mad scientist) to get the ski fixed and back up and running...installing a new prop, intake and carb, and fixing whats acting like a stuck starter...
ok as soon as my parts get here i'll be swapping my 28mm carb on my x-2 to a 44sbn with a polished bcw intake i am running a westcoast pipe and water box and gonna advance the timing as well...where should i start with my jetting and such i read somewhere that a 650 with a sbn 44 w/ west coast...
well after just a few rides on my x-2 i pulled one of my straps off just on the inside..and i found the perfect solution..
to attach them to the outside of the ski i just drilled a couple of holes and inserted stainless bolts gobbed with 5200 and out some washers with nylon lock nuts on...

who's coming.?? who's pussing out.?? we have plenty of area to ride this year...plenty of boat traffic for good wakes...more than enough camping and parking room..come on.. a few days in the middle of nowhere with race gas just down the street...you cant go wrong

well today i finally put the new x-2 on the water for the first time (took me a week but i got it there) anyway without further delay
#1 i need a new prop and carb..need more brap
#2 they are actually quite easy to get back on

just bought my new x-2 off of casey here..everything is exactlly as described..i was a little leary at first never bought a ski off of just pictures..if everyone was as straight up as he was i'd do it again in a heartbeat

well while the new sj proect is coming along super slow ..i guess just a lack of motivation. last time i was one the water with my own ski was at freestylefest 06:thumbsdown: i only got to ride a small handfull of times in 07 on ski's pimped from other peoples..btw thank you for everyone that...
