    Noob w/ 2020 SJ

I bought a new 2017 Superjet a couple of years ago, so here's my input. -Ethanol free gas is highly recommended. -I run a ~45:1 ratio. Quicksilver Full Synthetic has been good to me. No froth and no problem with water ingestion. I plan to upgrade to a better oil though. -The break in procedure...

    Removing turf

The oscillating multi tool is a good idea. I use gasoline and a scraper for the stubborn pieces and glue.

    DISCONTINUING THE SUPERJET????

Same graphics for the 2020 superjet... that could be a bad sign for 2021.

    Pole length?

For flatwater and short hulls, you typically want shorter poles. I don’t know exactly how short on a BOB. I would try to find pictures/video of other good riders on BOB hulls to get an estimate. Too short sucks to ride (unless you are just doing flatwater freestyle) and too long will feel like...

    Sunscreen for riding

I use Coppertone Sport. Idk if it’s considered “good quality”, but it has always worked fine for me in Florida. Applying it at least 20 minutes prior to riding or getting sweaty helps of course.

    Best goggles to get?

I’d like to hear some opinions as well. My girlfriend wears contacts so I have to find her something that will work when she’s on the blaster.

    SXR Water in carbs

Okay, keep us posted. I haven’t run a stock sxr pipe in years, so I’m curious if that could be the cause of your issue.

    SXR Water in carbs

That is strange. To summarize: -Tank was emptied and all fuel lines cleaned. It really seems like you have water in your fuel somehow still though. -If you have a primer, make sure it is not getting submerged because it could be letting water into your fuel lines. -Electrical issue maybe, but...

Other Crankshafts - What and Where to Buy???

I had a SBT crank in my rebuilt Kawasaki 800 that was in a Krash Predator for 2 years. I beat the piss out of it in surf with no issues. When the engine sat for the following 2 years the bearings did rust despite having oil on them. My guess is that the SBT cranks just wont last as long as oem...

Freestyle I’ll just leave this cool picture here...

I think you missed the reason for the “hate”... It’s not about the spark, it’s more about the guys that ride them that think they are the hottest thing in town because they know how to ride in a circle lol

Does it get any cooler than this?

Here is another possible solution I’m looking into with Mike Hodges.

Surfriding Krash Pump Tunnel Scupper Replacement

What are you guys using to replace the older Krash Scupper that is located inside of the pump tunnel? I have used it for years but it has gotten extra leaky over time so I’d like to find a better option (like a versiplug) that will fit. Thanks

    New guy

Welcome! I started riding at 17 and I’m still riding at 26 now. I have only had 2 skis and the first one lasted me 6 years of surf abuse. My advice: Ride that ski, learn the basics of riding in the surf, maintenance, and make mistakes on it while you save for a fairly newer 701 superjet. Once...

JetManiac continues to raise the bar

I have ordered a lot from Jetmaniac over the years (more than I’d like to admit to my girlfriend), but recently I have ordered almost every week as I’m building up my ski again. I can’t say enough positive things about the guy. He always has what I need in stock and he always makes time to help...
