Was out at a friend's lake over the 4th and noticed my SJ was loosing some of it's hookup. Checked it over when I got home and its got quite a bit of chips/dings on all 3 blades. Is this something I should send back to Impros and have it fixed? Or just smooth it out and live with it...

Just wondering if you can tell very much by looking at the burn pattern on your pistons. I pulled my head a few weeks ago since I was curious to see how my pistons were looking since I ported my engine over the winter. Can you tell much from this?

OK, in another thread someone suggested a splash pic/annimation/movie to show what the X is. I started to make a few splash images that could be shown randomly like an ad banner or they could be all combined into an annimated gif (larger file to load) that would cycle through the pics...

finally got off my ass and did something tonight layed one side w/ carbon kevlar, pretty happy how it turned out although i had a few pools of resin in it. thanks steve/watercraft factory for the tape tip, it worked well. also turfed my pole pad today :cheer:

i have the regular epoxy resin from uscomposites, i was told this would yellow after time. what type of resin do i need to use on my carbon/kevlar (blue) to have it not discolor? is this discoloring really that much to worry about? carbon will be on my handlepole and side reinforcements.

the front attachment of my roundnose chin pad is cracked, well I've tried to epoxy it and glass over it but the epoxy doesnt really stick to the plastic. it holds ok but you can peel it right off if you get a corner loose. I was just thinking rivit some sheet alumimum to support it. any better...

I'm cleaning up my intake surfaces and roughing them up slightly with sandpaper. When I went to check my intake (61x) to the intake reed holder. There was quite the mismatch, probably a good 2mm all the way around. Is there any reason not to match this? Just checking to make sure its not better...
