What kind of improvements and costs would I be looking at?

I am pretty mechanical but I have never bored cyls before. I would prefer to pay someone who does it on a regular basis to be safe. After that, I think your right, I can do the rest myself.

I pulled the head off and the pistons are scorched.

So if I get a compression of around 150 +/- 5 lbs and it does not make any strange noises I'm good? After it first happen I was pissed so all I did was spay some wd-40 in the spark plug holes. Good idea or not?

I was out riding the other day and my ski just died. I got it back to the dock and found that it would not start unless I undid the stop switch connection coming down from the handle bars. Does anybody know what I need to test or replace to get it going properly again?

Do all auto stores sell gasket paper or just autozone? I am just not sure where an autozone is.

Sorry, I was talking about Corson's Inlet. In between Ocean City and Strathmere. I live and work in this area and may be able to talk to some of the people I know.
