Ones like this. 5200 on the side in the closed compartment. The hose will hold it tight to the bulkhead. The only trick is getting access to it at a right angle to crimp the pex on. If you use the threaded ones you can cap them off if not needed like for a third cooling line or screw in plastic...

I did it for my freak build in 2013. Still ride the ski to this day and it is mostly used in salt. No issues ever. I used brass fittings to go through the bulkhead and stainless crimps.

You will be fine on stator. They can drill the shaft out at worst case scenario. Prop probably will be fine too.

Maybe cut back too far or wrong washer caused it to bind to pump housing where it screws onto the shaft.
