    They are different we have the same problem pre 94 I was told is the smaller thread. I was told you can use a RN midshaft in the SN bearing housing.

    cam sprocket, valves, help

    Pull the head off and look it over. All you are out is a head gasket. You don't have to disturb the base gasket, then you will know if the valve is possibly bent or if any contact has taken place in there.

    The midshaft measures 21.78 MM so it's 22 MM it is in an older SN not truthfully sure what year but it is smaller than my RN midshaft.     Can you use a stud there ? If so cut off a bolt and JB Weld it in the hole.?? Not familiar with X-Metal poles. just a thought.
