Thanks BK, that means a lot to me. I'm certainly not an expert but figuring this stuff out is what keeps me interested. My current gig doesn't pay very well so making the best of what I have is life rn.
Roseand may be on to something with the nozzle bore. I think the Thrust nozzle can go...
I'm referring to how close the impeller is to the stator vanes. If a prop is "cutback", aka machined on the backside, it can screw further into the driveshaft and sit closer to the stator. It improves efficiency of the pump but makes the prop feel taller. With stock bore 33cc domes should be...
I ran this setup in my chan for a while. I liked how carefree it was. Could easily flip it and didn't mind to fountain until it was barely floating. My cylinder was ported and I ran an ada head. Kept my pipe dry. A gp800 nozzle helped it get to the higher rpm sweet spot for pfp dry. If...
We shall see. I have put a ton of time into tuning my 144. The gp800 nozzle made a huge difference. The extra volume allows the motor to spool up a little more before the hit. I wish it didn't have the up angle to it though. It changes the way the hull rides. Pushes the rear down and a chan...
Put a 155 shoe in my chan. Going to see for myself if an oem 155 is better than a skat mag setback 144 with 65v reduction nozzle. I've ridden several oem 155 skis and I'm not convinced yet.
You would need a 62t reduction nozzle and a 65v steering nozzle. Waveraider I believe. Also a different set of bushings. I think the trim ring is the same. I'm going the opposite direction if you want to swap anything out.
How would doubling the size of your front rail push water up into your face? I would have to agree that hulls with no bond rail in front are terrible for that.
Dude that thing is broke down more than McDonald's ice cream machine. No.
Looks like someone just cracked an ear off over tightening that self tapping screw. If the crack isn't going all the through to the inside where the water flows I wouldn't worry about it. Lot of work for nothing imo.
Ok I guess I just woke up grumpy. I've probably been to 15 or so freestyle events. Tried to compete once but had a mechanical issue after warm up, right as my name was called. Pretty embarrassing moment. Could've tried again the next day but just wasn't feeling the vibe. It wasn't a very...
The whole point of this thread and the proposed changes is to get more people to participate. Who gives a $#it who's competed in the past. I thought Brave the Wave was supposed the be one of the best freestyle events of last year but you say it doesn't count? Lol. Old school freestyle isn't...
The original fx1 inserts were pretty cool. They just sat in an indention on top of the tray with a plastic cap over them. If you needed to change one you could just pull the turf up and drop one in. No epoxy to deal with.
It should stay 900cc but add an exception for stock stroke so the 964's/967's can run. More power makes aerial tricks easier. Bumping it up to 1200 doesn't help those on a budget. The top "amateur" riders on 10mil 900s will just go buy a Bun B21r and be just a far ahead as they are now...
I don't care what you type as long as it's not hurting someone or making fun of their build skills. My point is to stop censoring people who have a different opinion than you just because you can. You democrat jetskiers need to own your vote and speak your mind. Politics are affecting us all...
Ha. Let's get rid of the what did you build today fabricators thread too. And the ones asking what tv should I buy. I remember one guy had an interesting build thread going on here a few years back. A mod here poked fun at him until he finally gave up and left the site. I guess his own...
Rad dudes sells a.... Nm mark beat me to it. You can also make one by taking a piece of pvc pipe and heat the end then shove it over a 1-1/16 bolt then dip it in water. Drill a hole I the other end to stick a screwdriver through to turn it.
I agree with Storbeck. Every hull I've had was already setup in the stock location so I put the ball on the underside. Ideally you want it as close as possible to the trim ring pivot bolt. So I would try to put it on top. The hull hole doesn't have to be perfectly in line. It can be an inch or...
