looks like the ring cought the exhaust port, bore could have been out of spec, or maybe wasn't warmed up properly.

yea but i think thats the rig u want most truck for the money if you can find another one like that, even the 4.0 can tow pretty good.

I've been looking at those a lot of truck for the money, the older ones lasted along time and are dirt cheap, I've have 290k on my 97 still runs like new, only payed 3 grand back in 2004 just done oil changes and replaced the transfer case once , 100 bux on craigslit, thats all , the cost...
