    Yeah thanks for the info. I just looked at the original screws they give you with a bilge pump and their roughly 1" long so definitely way to long to screw down. I will epoxy it into place. thanks again

    yeah I was thinking about getting a mount like you mentioned, but it seems like they are more work to install. Im thinking of going with the standard plastic mount with screws/epoxy into the bottom of the boat.
