You need the piece that bolts to what is circled in Picture 1. Picture 2 shows the way air is pulled through that section to the pump tunnel if there isn't the piece bolted in. Cant get more straight forward than...

okay so you got bolts in there..... Come on bro, not what i was saying, u need the piece that bolts in there, not just bolts.

If you dont run a intake grate u need the piece that bolts to your pump shoe to fill the void where the intake grate goes. If you dont it sucks air into your pump tunnel.

Do you have the intake grate stuffer that bolts to the pump shoe where the intake grate bolts up? If you dont it'll suck air from pump area to the pump tunnel.
