Is the HSI bracket the only conversion bracket that has a pole lock integrated into it? I would rather not run a tight pole, not sure if people are modifying hazard brackets to have a lock, or the Watcon one, sort of unclear.

Planning to buy used, replace bearings and freshen up. Interested in a section that doesn’t have chips in the stator veins.

Years ago when this project was implemented, this guy showed up to the Dells Freeride with his 3d printed hull and lets just say it was in a rough state of affairs. I find it hard to believe that gluing to together a bunch of 3d printed sections is in any way a good method of prototyping a plug...

So a full spec carb is officially a maintenance item? Is epoxy the reason for such disposable nature?

I am surprised that at $2k pricepoint, they couldn't be bothered to braze this joint instead of epoxy it. Odd design choice given the product is designed to be submerged in fuel.

This is pretty awesome and wish you were a bit closer. Can't really justify though considering this would probably cost $400 to ship to me. Willing to make a drive, but Texas is a bit far.

Figure out your available volume and get the density of the foam you intend to use. From there you can estimate if it will or how quickly it will sink. F=pgV Yamaha had this just right on the superjet, when that goes down, the tail just barely bobs above the surface, but it is enough.

In my experience, its really hard to sell a paint job, especially (no offense) a polarizing one like this. This ski is super nice, you should just keep it together and sell it complete, seems like you'd have better luck no?

So since this is no longer for sale, question.. for $38k, does that build cost basically require a purchase of a brand new SXR1500 to drop the drivetrain into the new hull?

Sure that makes sense, In my mind 'stock' to me which is kind of laughable would be to assume that all those easy mods would be completed like waterbox, carbs, dry pipe, whatever else, but leave the engine porting alone at least and avoid excessive race gas compression and no exorbitant ignition...

Sorry I am going to hijack this thread, but you have obviously built some 1100SXRs, what kind of speed you looking at for a stock engine on pump gas? Let's assume a decent prop is used with oem pump.

In what way were they screwed up?
