I did....and all went well. I was just wondering if the second clip should be tight up against the bearing. It is not...just a tiny gap. I'll tell ya what though after investing in this press and replenishing my map gas this job ain't so bad at all. I'll be doing them from here on out after...

Midshaft question: Do the clips fit snug against the bearing or is there a tiny gap?

I melted off a old motor mount top plate and it fits dang near perfectly!

Yea that is the problem! I think I have done it before like 10 years ago and now I forget everything....so much so that I am not even really sure if I ever did it before! LOLOLOL.

After all these years of riding I am finally doing my first ever self pump and midshaft rebuild and it sucks! I hate it and will be sending them back out again next time! LOL.
