I have carter b front and rear kits on my blaster and I love it. Super fun. Fast turning. Makes it feel so small. Rides like a whole new ski. You're definitely not going to be running any buoys but I'm into chasing boats anyways. Fun as hell in the surf.

Might be a little easier to encourage manufacturers if they tried to accept that their product quality is not up to par instead of trying to tell me it was a "collision impact" and to provide a "logical story"...

In his last message he "recommended" I get my fabricator to fix it. Which I already had done so I sent him a picture to compare to his weld. ;)

Removed all the stock foam and cut down the stock seat base. Bolted a piece of 1/4" abs plastic to it. Used one layer of 1" under pad on the base and just turfed the rest. The seat makes everything easier. Only problem with it is it needs to taper off more towards the back because sometimes it...

I figured this was the case. I've read a couple threads about junk 701 welds and the surf plugs leaking also. I did get the steering setup second hand from a member on the x, so I didn't really expect any remorse since I didn't buy straight from 701, but at first he said he would send me a new...

So apparently this is the first 701 quick steer to break according to Dave. The weld that holds the steering tube to the hood mount broke causing the whole thing to push down on to the hood and also breaking the steering cable. I couldn't pull the steering back up through the strap that secures...

I'm running a mod chamber on mine. Looks like there is plenty of room for a limited chamber. I'll post a pic when I get home today.

I just cut out the stock fuel tank/water box mounts from the old hull section, shaped them to fit the rocker and glassed them in. Looks way cleaner to do the rear water box mod and a smaller tank, but I just used what I already had.

Anybody have a solution to not having any foam anymore? Like maybe stuffing the under seat area with pool noodles or styrofoam? Don't want my boat to end up like zimmys. That sucks...

Attached the pro taper bar bad that came with my bars today. Had to cut it to fit the 701 steering. Couldn't use the pad cover but it looks ok I guess. Just secured it with zip ties.

So you can't let your ski just chill in the water with these plugs? Maybe a new thread needs to be started for 701 surf plugs...

X2 on what @Quinc said. Bent a piece of stainless and drilled some holes in it for mine.

Yes it's carter b. I have the splash guard too just haven't done it yet. I think it rides perfect. Especially standing up and it gets on plane easily.

Super fun and nimble. Only riden it in the surf once and it was awesome. Can now ride down waves and slash without the nose going under.l Rode it in a smooth lake and still rode good too. Even at high speed. Does porpoise in choppy water though.
