when you assemble the pump did you put any sealant between the stator, wear ring and pumpshoe? Im gonna be running a 7/14 solas in my 771, not sure how well a 9/15 would do with how small our krash reduction nozzels are..
Its kinda hard to say, maybe 2 inches anything more than that youll either be crushing the breather tubes or you wont have all 3 pinch bolts on the tubes
The helicoils on the pump shoe are pretty fragile, I had one strip out while i was UN-screwing it and another pulled the helicoil out with it. Chris replaced the pump shoe and bolts right away though.
Thats the one from Krash, nice quality silicone and it ends up way above the waterline so it should keep water out nicely. It rubs a little on my Blowsion battery box though.
Lol I threw the tank in there to see if it would fit, It rubs on that tab thing pretty badly so I probably wont run it. I got the rideplate measurements from Chris so hopefully itll ride nicely.
The trim ring hits the reduction nozzle and is maxed out unless i do some dremel/ grinding work...
Im just running a cart tank for now, a full size would be a pain to fit in there with the hood lock system.
I tried pressing it in cold "sat in the fridge for almost a week" and It got stuck about half way in..
Welp.. turns out you cant build a midshaft like a pump.. tried freezing the shaft and sliding it into a hot housing... Giggity, and this is what i ended up with..
Oh and fixed my breather tube issue, only after busting every knuckle twice and several curse words...
Tada!
