Please test with and without https://www.blowsion.com/blowsion-outerwears while you are at it. Some people swear by them, others say they are worthless and restrict air flow too much. I am assuming they restrict, especially once wet, but if its not too bad it would be worth it to keep water out...

Nothing wrong with going with the adjustable, might even be less work in the long run if you hate turfing footholds like I do. But that's a lot of force on those brackets in the sidewalls, make sure you reinforce and do them right. The WCF in my mind are a little more idiot proof.

Even adjustable are not truly a "one size its all" solution in my experience. While they do offer adjustment, your footbeds, ramps, padding etc are all custom to your foot usually. And i have yet to have someone offer to mess up their perfect foothold placement so my size 13 clown feet will fit...

Potting is an option i've considered, there is a display and some buttons for input, but once its set I shouldn't need to touch it again, clear epoxy so that you can read the display could be very doable and bulletproof.
