Hopefully the preorder numbers give them an indication of the demand. Then they can true up from their initial forecast. If they make a 1k units world wide and get 600 or so preorders, it seems like they could increase production in the winter / early spring time frame for the 2021 model year...
Yes, the engines fit through the top hull (they have to for repair / replacement). Like you mentioned, it is just for faster assembly.
Would be nice to "pop the top off" to make repairs ourselves
The RN SJs were all made in Japan but that could be because of the two stroke and free trade laws...
I think most will keep the pole, it's the steering plate and bars that will be changed. Those look like same parts. It will be interesting to see how the pump design is. It is a 144mm pump - hoping the pump stator is upgraded
Good call out on the drain plugs. Im sure it has foam back there but the styrofoam version like sitdowns vs expanding foam that soaks up water. Look at that shot behind the battery in the video review above and you see styrofoam, it might go all the way back (no bulkhead)
AGM battery? Sweet...
Hey, I noticed that the EXR has a "HIGH OUTPUT" TR1 motor vs standard TR1 that is in all the other EX's and SJ4. What is the difference that makes a TR1 HO?
You know as soon as we find out, there will be the "HO mod" performed on SJ4's
Dang only 2 SJ4 allocated to your dealership? If that is the norm, glad I was the first at my shop in San Diego. Now it they try to #$%@ me with a huge above MSRP markup, I'll walk away. Some tried to do that w the SX-R...now those things are sitting on the lot. In fact jetskis are sold out...
A few people PM'd me all from CA.
Tell them a new waverunner was announced today at the dealers meeting which was made public. You want to put a deposit on it. "superjet" is throwing them off. They should have a process. I think the model number is SJ1050
Hey Guys,
Now that the new Superjet is official, I thought I would start a thread with a focus on pre order status & tracking from those who have committed. Then we can see where and how many are popping up for delivery.
Why don't we start with pre-order date, location or dealer (indicate...
I called Riva Yamaha in FL since they are selling 2021 models tomorrow. The Superjet will be there, but not available for purchase. A $500 deposit (non refundable) will get you in line for a production model which the sales guy indicated should start rolling out in November
Dustin echos a key point that I believe. This will get a new generation into standup riding and make racing grow and the sport over all grow. Glad to hear about all these deposits
