^^ correct, it's just a valve to let air in as fuel is taken out but not to let fuel leak out if the ski is upside down or if you have a full tank and doing some spirited riding. Running your ski without one will not effect performance
I'm not so sure this is a good idea, if you get separated from your ski and the lanyard is pulled, I'd rather have the bilge running while I make my way back
Any negatives can be connected to any ground point on the engine or battery, it doesn't matter they all create a circuit back to the battery anyway. I had my msd set up on a piece of clear perspex and i put a common ground point on there to run all the negatives to. What brand total loss are you...
You've got less resistance going out then going in, so it won't be full of water all the time. I guess none of this actually matters if you've got your ski tuned for the warmer head pipe. But anyway, both will work, I just like my way better ;);)
Well that explains everything... Haha sorry man couldn't resist.
I wear a helmet when I'm trying something new or sketchy. Fell out of my footholds upside down last weekend and felt the ski hit the water right behind me. 6 inches closer and I would have been out cold
Someone correct me if I'm wrong (it's been a while) but shouldn't the line from the head go to the bottom of the head pipe and the line out the top of the head pipe go to the stinger? That way the head pipe cooling jacket is always full of water
Our 98 here in Aus is the equivalent of 93 in the states or the rest of the world. It's also some of the lowest quality fuel available. Best mix it with toulelene or even better just get avgas because it's regulated better and you know exactly what you're getting and it's the same every time
Sorry, I didn't think we were arguing at all about anything. Just discussing scuppers in aftermarket hulls which might be relevant if you're looking for one. Or might not be depending on your knowledge level. If you want to carve around on the flat water and muck around in the surf a superjet is...
I don't know why people say leaky scuppers are a nightmare, as soon as they start leaking swap them out with a new one for like $50 and you're good for another couple of years. Scuppers are 1000 times better than bilges in my opinion
I've spent a lot of time on both skis you've mentioned, plain and simple if you like to jump wakes/waves don't get the sxr. I love triple swaps in skis but there's still plenty of lightweight power to be had in a superjet
