    Quick RN Build

Look at that sweet ride in the top left. That's what you want to mimic when you chop it. The dude that shreds that ski is straight sick.

How much to chop off the back

I'm a terrible explainer of things FX-21 is a -6 FX-1 with a 144 pump. It rides like an FX-1 except a little more predictable with tubbies and a larger bondrail. The -6 helps a ton for flips as well as makes it very responsive almost like it can pivot at lower speeds. It doesn't take away...

How much to chop off the back

I've got a Tom21 FX that is -6 off the back and I am running the tailplate flush and it is perfect. Now I am starting to build my WDK F1 Pro, which is an SJ midshaft and driveshaft instead of FX like the Tom21. That puts the engine forward about 3/4" and the pump back about 2". I'm not trying...

    Octane Fuel Quality

I never pulled up the map on that site before. I never run ethanol fuel through my boat, skis, or even my lawnmower and I never have fuel issues either. I guess that isn't always a choice everywhere.

If you could live anywhere and ride surf!

I like NC pretty well and may be heading to SC in the future. We can ride year round, but it does get cold and surf on the East Coast isn't really that great most of the time. Next on my list would be Australia around the Gold Coast area. I loved surfing there, but never rode skis. I don't...

    Surf slam 2014

I rarely see any threads about any events that aren't a freeride, unless it is created by sponsors or the pros that are there.

    Saturday Night FEAST!

I'd love to have some Catfish, hushpuppies, elk, venison, and whatever anybody has available. We got a ton of wings and sauces for everyone.

    Stirring the pot

I didn't know it was losing the tail plate. I don't think that they are too big of a deal, but I would have thought it would be easier to keep it if he built the mold from the Backie that already had it. My buddy keeps on saying that he is patiently waiting for the hull and I keep laughing at...

Super Jet Where to start with no spark situation?

They will be resistor type, so make sure you are in the 1000 range. I think it's somewhere around 1500 each but I forget. I leave them on the coil if I am testing a ski that just lost spark and I think they add 3000-3500 to the coil's resistance.

    Good idea, bad idea?

30 sounds good to me and I think that is a neat idea. It'll be fun to see somebody that is a dick on here that I am friends with in person. Or some douche in real life that helped me out on here. I know a lot of people in person but not on here and vice versa.

    engine wieght

I've found the Bob stuff to be pretty accurate. I lost my sheet that I wrote all my weights on because it was so close to theirs. At the bottom of this page says 83 for motor with carbs, electric, and exhaust mani. http://www.hurricanefreestyle.com/2012-13-gen3.html

Super Jet Where to start with no spark situation?

Just twist some boots on one of the others. They can come from tons of different skis. Even a 550. Or JetManiac or whoever will sell some new MSD terminals to crimp on to them.

Super Jet Where to start with no spark situation?

I did a similar thing and it's tough because parts go bad at any moment. Mine at least ran for a week before the coil crapped out though. They get brittle and break up inside just from bending them. Most used stuff that I see is 10-20 years old. I really like the thread I linked below for...

    Freestyle Fake Rickter.

The part that I hate most is that the next person might not say it is a clone when they sell it. Research your Richters before you buy.
