If you've ever been pulled under by a front entry vest, you'll never go back to one. A side entry has a much higher neck opening, and does not funnel water down your front when you submerge. Skip all that wake board crap, your life is worth more.

SXRs use Styrofoam in the tray area. It's open and wet all the time. No need to redo it, since Styrofoam is closed cell foam. If you add a Versi-plug, it will drain that area and keep the ski lighter, since the siphon stops at the driveshaft bulkhead/wall.

Honestly the best option for a Stock 800 is the stock prop. If you want to do ONE thing to stop cavitation on an SXR.... FILL THE PUMP SHOE VOIDS. Air gets in there and causes all kinds of cavitation.
